Two teams are rumored to be looking to make some moves in the 2024 NFL draft.
According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, the Las Vegas Raiders and Minnesota Vikings are reportedly “desperate” to trade up to the top three in the 2024 NFL draft to draft LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels.
“Dan Graziano reports on ESPN that the Vikings and Raiders are both desperate to move into top-3… but only for the right guy (who he clearly believes is Jayden Daniels, not Drake Maye).”
Trading up to try and draft Daniels would seemingly fulfill Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams’ wishes who posted a picture of Daniels holding the Heisman Trophy to his Instagram story.
The Raiders currently have Aidan O’Connell, who started the final nine games for the Raiders as a rookie last season, and Gardner Minshew II, who made the Pro Bowl after starting 13 games for the Indianapolis Colts last season, rostered as quarterbacks.
The Minnesota Vikings have been rumored to be interested in Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy and are still considered the favorites to draft him.
With the departure of starting quarterback Kirk Cousins to the Atlanta Falcons, the Vikings currently feature former first round pick Sam Darnold as their starting quarterback.
The Oakland Raiders currently own the 13th overall pick and the Minnesota Vikings currently own the 11th overall pick.
