The 49ers currently hold the 31st overall pick in the draft.
This from Bleacher Report via NFL insider Diana Russini of The Athletic.
“49ers have had conversations “about trading either” Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo Samuel to move up in the first round, per @DMRussini“
Both wide receivers have been the subject of some trade speculation this offseason with Aiyuk being the one who has garnered much more attention.
Earlier today, the rumored asking price for Aiyuk was revealed.
“The 49ers are reportedly seeking a first-round pick in exchange for Aiyuk, but this has been met with resistance from other teams. An unnamed executive suggested to the Chronicle’s Michael Silver that this asking price is too steep, while another general manager hinted that a second-round pick might be a more acceptable compromise.”
As for Samuel, the Ravens reportedly made a play for him back in March.
“According to a disclosure by Jason La Canfora of The Washington Post and “Inside Access” on 105.7 The Fan, the Baltimore Ravens reached out to the 49ers to inquire about Samuel’s availability for a trade.
However, the 49ers conveyed to the Ravens that Samuel is not currently available, at least not at this juncture.”
Of the two wide receivers, it seems that Aiyuk is much more likely to be traded, but you never know what can transpire on draft day.
