Tragedy struck during Wednesday afternoon’s Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade when gunfire erupted, resulting in a fatal outcome.
Among the victims of the shooting, one woman tragically lost her life, while 22 others sustained injuries. Identified as Lisa Lopez-Galvan, 45, she worked as a DJ and was a devoted mother to two children, both of whom were also wounded in the incident.
In the aftermath of her passing, Lopez-Galvan’s family established a GoFundMe page to raise college funds for her children. The page, created to support her surviving family members, described her as an exceptional mother, wife, and cherished member of her community.
Setting a goal of $75,000, the fundraiser quickly garnered overwhelming support, surpassing its target by over $250,000, thanks to generous contributions from notable figures such as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

On Thursday night, Swift made a heartfelt donation of $100,000 to the family’s GoFundMe page, expressing her deepest sympathies and condolences to the grieving family. Following suit, Kelce matched Swift’s donation the next day, underscoring his commitment to supporting families in need, particularly children affected by such tragedies.
“Travis has a really big soft spot for kids and wanted to make sure their families were taken care of and were supported with whatever they needed,” a source shared with Page Six regarding Kelce’s compassionate gesture.
As a result of these compassionate acts, the GoFundMe page has now amassed over $330,000 in donations, providing vital financial support to Lopez-Galvan’s grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time.
