In a recent episode of the Like a Farmer Podcast, Kansas City Chiefs’ long snapper James Winchester shared his excitement about Taylor Swift attending a Chiefs game, revealing how teammate Travis Kelce reacted to Swift being in his family suite during their win against the Chicago Bears on September 24.
Winchester described how he initially heard rumors of Swift’s attendance, which he initially dismissed until the Chiefs’ equipment manager confirmed her presence from the sidelines. He approached Kelce during the game, mentioning Swift was there, to which Kelce, unaware she was actually in the suite, responded with surprise and delight.
“He started smiling and blushing when I told him she was here, not on the Jumbotron but actually in the suite,” Winchester recounted. After the game, he observed Kelce and Swift together, further confirming the relationship that had been speculated online.
Winchester also shared a personal moment with Swift later that evening, saying, “The first thing she said to me was, ‘Are you that guy with the cute kids?’” referring to his son and daughter who were with him on the field. This interaction made Winchester appreciate Swift’s genuine nature, turning him into a fan.
When asked if he considered himself a “Swiftie,” Winchester responded, “I’m a fan of her,” explaining that his experiences with her over the year showed her to be a truly genuine person. He expressed happiness for Kelce and Swift’s relationship, describing it as a “really good thing” for both.
Additionally, Winchester mentioned attending Swift’s Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium with nine female family members, praising the show and noting “Shake It Off” as a personal favorite because of how much his kids enjoy dancing to it.
He concluded by commending Swift as an “incredible singer, songwriter, and entertainer.”
