The “August” singer flew from Nashville, Tennessee to Kansas City, Missouri, arriving on Friday, the day after the NFL star turned 34. They decided to have a relaxed evening before Swift seemingly headed back home in time for Kelce’s game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, according to US Weekly.
Notably, the Grammy-winning artist was absent from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis this time, even though she had cheered for her new beau at his two previous games. Nevertheless, Kelce continued to contribute to the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory, believing that his blossoming romance with Swift had brought him good luck.
For some fans who have been closely following their whirlwind relationship, Swift’s absence from Kelce’s birthday celebration was unexpected.
On Thursday, the football player was seen enjoying a low-key dinner with friends at the Golden Ox steakhouse in Kansas City. Despite their physical separation, Swift remained on his mind during a post-practice press conference the next day.
When questioned about his relationship with the music sensation, Kelce told reporters, “It feels like I was on top of the world after the Super Bowl, and right now I’m even more on top of the world.”
He also admitted that he’s learning to cope with the increased media and paparazzi attention. “It comes with it. You’ve got a lot of people that care about Taylor, and for good reason,” he stated. “You just gotta keep living and learning and enjoying the moments.”
A recent insider revealed that Kelce and Swift’s romance is gradually growing more serious. “They talk every day,” a source informed Us Weekly. “Taylor’s really enjoying getting to know Travis. They’re taking it day by day, but she has high hopes.”
