Travis Hunter is currently gaining attention for less than favorable reasons.
Any lingering tension between Colorado’s Travis Hunter and Colorado State’s Henry Blackburn appears to have been put to rest on Wednesday night. CSU defensive lineman James Mitchell captured a moment of the two embracing, which he shared on his Instagram story. Blackburn later reposted it on his own page with the comment, “God has a bigger plan.”
In the September 16 game, Hunter, the versatile player for the Buffaloes, suffered an injury in the first quarter when Blackburn hit him after the whistle on a deep pass intended for the receiver. Subsequently, it was determined at the hospital that Hunter had sustained a lacerated liver, which would sideline him for three weeks.

During his recovery, Hunter seems to have stayed active on social media, as evidenced by his engagement with various trending topics on Twitter.
In the team’s first three games, Hunter has contributed with 16 receptions for 213 yards on the offensive side, while also registering nine tackles and an interception as a cornerback.
It appears that the sophomore is on track to make his return for the team’s upcoming game against Stanford at home on October 13.
