Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammate, kicker Harrison Butker, has angered the “Swifties.”
A mob of Taylor Swift fans are calling for Butker to be banned from the NFL following a controversial commencement speech he issued.
The three-time Super Bowl winner expressed his views during a fiery commencement speech at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. In his address, Butker also criticized the federal government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and voiced his frustrations with various political, religious, and cultural issues.
“You witnessed firsthand how bad leaders who don’t stay in their lane can negatively impact society,” Butker, 28, said early in his 20-minute speech to the graduates of the small Catholic liberal arts school, referencing the COVID-19 lockdowns.
“While COVID might have played a large role throughout your formative years, it is not unique,” he continued. “Bad policies and poor leadership have negatively impacted major life issues. Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, and a growing support for degenerate cultural values and media all stem from the pervasiveness of disorder.”
Butker specifically targeted Biden, saying, “Our nation is led by a man who publicly and proudly proclaims his Catholic faith but is delusional enough to make the sign of the cross during a pro-abortion rally.”

It’s a near certainty that Butker will not be banned from the NFL or receive any sort of discipline for his personal beliefs.
Selected in the seventh round of the 2017 draft from Georgia Tech, he has emerged as one of the NFL’s top kickers, setting a Chiefs’ franchise record with a 62-yard field goal in 2022.
Butker played a key role in securing their first Super Bowl victory in 50 years in 2020, contributed to another championship win in 2023, and kicked the field goal that sent the game into overtime in the Super Bowl triumph over San Francisco in February.
