Regrettably for the audience, Shannon Sharpe displayed restraint.
In December of last year, Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless engaged in a fiery argument about Tom Brady while on FS1’s “Undisputed.”
The confrontation began when Bayless asserted that Brady was “way better” than Sharpe, a statement that offended the often controversial FS1 personality, who felt that his colleague had shown disrespect toward Brady.
During a recent appearance on “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” Sharpe candidly discussed the infamous clash.

Sharpe disclosed that it required a great deal of self-control for him not to resort to physical confrontation with Bayless while they were on live television.
“I remember going home, calling my sister, I called my brother. My homeboy had raced home after watching it,” Sharpe said. “It took a lot for me not to put my hands on him, it actually did.”
Sharpe also noted that “Undisputed” was never the same after that heated argument.
‘Whatever the relationship is once one partner has no respect for the other, the other partner then in turn loses respect for said partner. Then I think it’s only a matter of time,” Sharpe explained. “Because I felt in that moment he [Skip Bayless] had lost all respect for me, he had no respect for me.”
As of now, Bayless has not responded to Sharpe’s admission.
Sharpe has since moved on from working with Bayless and now makes occasional appearances on “First Take” each week.
