Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels celebrated his first NFL victory over the weekend, as the Commanders edged out Daniel Jones and the New York Giants with a 21-18 win. Daniels, the former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback from LSU, showcased his potential in the Week 2 matchup, completing 23 of 29 passes for 226 yards and rushing 10 times for an additional 44 yards.
More importantly, he played mistake-free football, avoiding turnovers and guiding his team to a hard-fought victory.
However, despite his stellar performance on the field, it wasn’t just Jayden Daniels grabbing the spotlight after the game. Social media was buzzing, but the focus shifted to his mother, Regina Jackson, who drew significant attention online. Jackson was seen on the field before the game, speaking with Commanders team owner Mark Ein, while wearing a sleek, form-fitting dress that quickly became the talk of social media.
Her appearance sparked comparisons to animated movie characters, with some fans humorously likening her to a “Pixar mom,” a reference often made for characters with exaggerated, curvy physiques in animated films. One tweet summed it up: “Jayden Daniels’ Mom got that ‘Pixar Mom’ build.” Another Twitter user joked, “I know Jayden Daniels was sick every time she had to drive him to school,” poking fun at the typical teenage embarrassment of having an attractive parent.

The online buzz didn’t stop there. Another fan posted, “As an owner, if yo momma look like this, you gone always have a roster spot on my team,” playfully suggesting that her presence alone could secure Jayden’s place on the Commanders’ roster.
Jackson’s social media following is also growing rapidly. Her Instagram account, @_mz_jackson, which previously had just over 4,600 followers, is expected to see a surge in numbers as more people become aware of her viral moment.
As for Jayden Daniels, his football career is off to a strong start. After a historic season at LSU, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 2023 and set the FBS single-season passer rating record, Daniels was selected second overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Commanders chose him right behind #1 overall pick Caleb Williams, who went to the Chicago Bears. With his Week 2 performance, Daniels is beginning to show why he was considered one of the top prospects in the draft.
Looking ahead, Daniels and the Commanders will have an extra day to prepare for their Week 3 matchup, as they’re set to face the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday, September 23.
As Daniels continues to settle into his role as the Commanders’ starting quarterback, the attention on him—and, apparently, his family—shows no signs of slowing down.
With his promising talent and his mother’s growing social media fame, the Daniels family is quickly becoming a household name both on and off the field.
