Aaron Rodgers’ venture into politics will need to be postponed for the time being.
There’s a sigh of relief for New York Jets fans as Aaron Rodgers won’t be entering the vice-presidential race after all.
On Tuesday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made it official by selecting Nicole Shanahan as his running mate, putting an end to the speculation surrounding his VP choice for the 2024 presidential election as an independent candidate.

Shanahan brings a mix of legal expertise and tech entrepreneurship to the table. Hailing from Oakland, California, and with ties to Google co-founder Sergey Brin as his ex-wife, Shanahan is also recognized for her significant contributions to the Democratic Party, despite never holding a political position before.
Kennedy Jr., the son of the late Robert F. Kennedy, had reportedly considered Jets quarterback Rodgers among other notable figures for his VP shortlist. However, the Jets never fully bought into the possibility, and Kennedy Jr.’s selection of Shanahan firmly closes the door on Rodgers’ VP aspirations.
Nevertheless, the humor spawned from the Rodgers-Kennedy Jr. speculation will endure.
