Aaron Rodgers will not be splitting his time between the New York Jets and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s third-party presidential campaign for the 2024 football season, according to a report by Mediaite. Kennedy has chosen lawyer and tech entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan as his vice-presidential running mate, leaving Rodgers to focus solely on his second year with the New York Jets.
While Rodgers was previously considered as a potential running mate for Kennedy, the decision has been made for him to concentrate on his football career. Both Rodgers and Kennedy share skepticism towards COVID-19 vaccines, with Rodgers being critical of Dr. Anthony Fauci and expressing doubts about vaccine efficacy.

However, Rodgers has faced additional scrutiny due to allegations that he questioned the legitimacy of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, where 26 people tragically lost their lives. Despite attempts to distance himself from these conspiracy theories, Rodgers has been criticized for his association with controversial figures like Alex Jones and his alleged involvement in spreading conspiracy theories.
Rodgers, who suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon injury during his short tenure with the Jets in September, has remained in the spotlight through appearances on the Pat McAfee Show. He has been vocal about his opposition to COVID-19 vaccines since they became available to NFL players in 2021.
Reports have also emerged of Rodgers discussing various conspiracy theories with former teammate DeShone Kizer, including doubts about the September 11 attacks, belief in inner Earth, skepticism about the moon landing, and the existence of reptile people. Despite these claims, Rodgers has yet to directly address them.
Overall, while Rodgers’ involvement in Kennedy’s campaign may have been speculated, it appears that he will be solely focused on his football career for the upcoming season.
