According to Boston.com, Belichick made the visit to Washington because he’s a keynote speaker this weekend at the school’s “Be a P.R.O Coaching Clinic.”
The 71-year-old Belichick reportedly visited Huskies practice following the presentation on Saturday sporting the UW hoodie and cap.
There’s no indication that he’s joining the school in any professional capacity at this time, but he does have several ties to the program.
The Huskies’ head coach, Jedd Fisch, was the Patriots’ quarterbacks coach in 2020.
Also, Steve Belichick, the elder Belichick’s son, was named Washington’s defensive coordinator in February.
Bill Belichick will not be coaching football in 2024 for the first time since 1974 which is when he was a player for Wesleyan College..
However, there’s a good chance that Belichick returns to coaching in 2025 as he has given no indication that he’s ready to call it a career.
