Pat McAfee and Bill Simmons find themselves in the midst of a heavyweight clash in the world of sports media.
Simmons has been impersonating McAfee on his podcast lately, a move that clearly didn’t sit well with the former Colts punter. McAfee fired back at Simmons on Monday, urging him to “keep running your mouth.”
Last month, Simmons showcased his McAfee impression on his football podcast with “Cousin” Sal Iacono. He mimicked McAfee’s style of commentary, poking fun at his laid-back approach and lack of a formal rundown for the show.

While Simmons often indulges in such ribbing on his podcast, McAfee was evidently not amused by the imitation.
McAfee took a shot at Simmons on Monday while discussing the Super Bowl gambling boosts, sarcastically noting Simmons’ smaller following compared to his own. He didn’t hold back, challenging Simmons to keep up his banter.
Simmons, sponsored by FanDuel, previously had McAfee’s presenting sponsor before McAfee’s move to ESPN. Despite McAfee’s rise in sports media, he seems unfazed by the idea of making enemies, but Simmons is not to be underestimated.
Simmons wields significant influence in the realms of sports, media, and entertainment, and he’s known for holding onto grudges. While it may not be immediate, engaging in a feud with Simmons could prove riskier than it appears at first glance.
