Alright, alright, alright. Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey made an appearance on ESPN’s “College GameDay” to offer his prediction for the upcoming showdown between No. 12 Oklahoma and No. 3 Texas.
In his unique style, McConaughey used a sunrise analogy to reveal his forecast for the Red River Showdown.

“When I woke up this morning, I saw sunrise. When the sun rose and it wasn’t quite light out, it had a lot of red in it with some burnt orange. But as it kept rising, that red kinda fell off and it got bright orange,” McConaughey said. “That’s what I see happening today.”
Earlier this season, McConaughey was present in Tuscaloosa when Texas secured a victory against Alabama. Perhaps, just perhaps, McConaughey is proving to be the Longhorns’ lucky charm this year.
For the Longhorns to prevail against the Sooners this afternoon, the efficiency of quarterback Quinn Ewers will be crucial. Ewers has accumulated 1,358 passing yards, along with 10 touchdowns and a mere one interception this season.
The highly anticipated Oklahoma vs. Texas matchup is set to kick off at 12 p.m. ET on ABC, with Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit providing commentary.
