For the second time in the past five years, the Hard Knocks universe is set to expand.
The NFL and Max have partnered to produce the first offseason edition of the long-running HBO reality series, the league and streaming service announced Wednesday morning at Max’s upfront presentation. The first season, set to premiere on July 2, will feature the New York Giants ahead of their centennial season.
This will be the Giants’ first appearance on any iteration of Hard Knocks, which has been running since 2001.

New York is coming off a 5-11 season, a significant step back after their 9-7-1 record and playoff appearance in 2022.
Hard Knocks has traditionally covered training camp since its inception. Since 2021, an in-season edition of the series has also been produced.
Teams featured on Hard Knocks in 2023 included the New York Jets (in the traditional edition) and the Miami Dolphins (in the in-season edition).
