During an appearance on “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” with Barstool Sports last week, Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders hinted that his son, Shedeur Sanders, and star wide receiver, Travis Hunter, may opt to boycott certain NFL teams.
Sanders suggested that he has preferences for where he wants his sons to play, implying that there are certain cities they would not consider. He likened the situation to Eli Manning’s famous refusal to play for the San Diego Chargers, ultimately leading to him being drafted by the New York Giants.
Drawing parallels to Eli Manning’s draft experience, Sanders emphasized the importance of finding the right fit for his sons, much like Atlanta was for him when he was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 1989.
Responding to Sanders’ comments, Eli Manning expressed his admiration for Deion Sanders, highlighting the complexities of navigating the NFL draft process.

Sanders underscored the significance of selecting a city where his sons can thrive, citing Atlanta as a pivotal location for his own career due to its representation of Black leadership. He stressed the importance of finding a supportive and empowering environment for his children’s professional endeavors.
