Is a reunion on the horizong?
The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly meeting with three-time Pro Bowl running back Ezekiel Elliott who is currently a free agent.
This from ESPN’s Josina Anderson:
“I’m told the #Cowboys are currently meeting with RB Ezekiel Elliott’s representative around the facility a day before the NFL Draft, per source.”
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported back in March that there was believed to be mutual interest between the Cowboys and Elliott.
A reunion with Elliott makes quite a bit of sense for the Cowboys.

Ezekiel Elliott had been a cornerstone of the Dallas Cowboys throughout his entire career from 2016 to 2022, until he joined the New England Patriots last season.
Drafted by the Cowboys with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft, Elliott earned Pro Bowl honors three times (2016, 2018, and 2019) and led the league in rushing yards twice (2016 and 2018).
Although his 2023 season with the Patriots saw him rush for only 642 yards and three touchdowns over 15 games, Elliott did showcase his value during games when his teammate Rhamondre Stevenson was sidelined due to injury.
Stevenson typically commanded the lion’s share of carries when healthy throughout the season.
As the 2024 NFL draft approaches, the Cowboys find themselves with Rico Dowdle, last year’s backup running back, listed as the starter, with Deuce Vaughn as the second-string running back.
This comes after the departure of last year’s starting running back, Tony Pollard, who joined the Tennessee Titans.
