When it rains it pours for the Chicago Bears.
In a shocking turn of events, Alan Williams, the defensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears, has announced his immediate resignation from the position. Williams revealed his decision earlier today, citing the need to prioritize his health and family.
This surprising development comes on the heels of reports indicating that FBI agents conducted a raid at Williams’ residence. While initial reports suggested that Halas Hall, the Bears’ practice facility, was also raided, subsequent information clarified that the facility remained untouched.

Former Bears’ star cornerback Charles Tillman, who currently serves as an FBI agent, reportedly informed head coach Matt Eberflus, general manager Ryan Poles, and team president Kevin Warren about the raid on Williams’ home.
The exact reasons behind the FBI’s raid on Williams’ residence have yet to be disclosed. More information will be shared as it becomes available.
However, reports of the raid at Halas Hall has 100% been refuted:
Matt Eberflus assumed the role of head coach for the Bears in 2022 after a successful stint as the defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts. Williams had previously worked as the defensive backs coach for the Colts from 2018 to 2021 before joining the Bears as their defensive coordinator.
Williams initiated his NFL coaching career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2001, serving as a defensive assistant. Notably, he was a part of the Colts’ coaching staff that secured victory in Super Bowl 41 during the 2006 season.
