The Chicago Bears are eyeing offensive upgrades for the upcoming season, and they may turn to a former rushing star for reinforcement.
Jason McKie, a former Bears fullback and current host of “The Chicago Bears Podcast” on ESPN 1000 in Chicago, discussed potential free agent targets on a recent episode. McKie revealed that there is mutual interest between the Bears and Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs.
According to McKie, who shares an agent with Jacobs, both parties are keen on the possibility of Jacobs donning the Bears’ uniform, making the prospect seem quite promising.
“I know from his standpoint, Josh would love to be in a Bears uniform,” McKie said of Josh Jacobs.

Jacobs, who has spent the past five years with the Raiders, is set to become a free agent after the team opted not to use the franchise tag on him.
The 26-year-old standout from Alabama boasts an impressive career average of 4.2 yards per carry and has earned two Pro Bowl selections. In 2022, Jacobs thrived as the focal point of the Raiders’ offense under Josh McDaniels, leading the NFL with 1,653 rushing yards and scoring 12 touchdowns.
With the No. 1 pick in the upcoming draft, the Bears are anticipated to select Caleb Williams, a promising young quarterback. Adding weapons like Jacobs to their offensive arsenal would undoubtedly bolster their efforts to support their new quarterback’s development.
