Aaron Rodgers is making waves in the news this week, but not for his football prowess.
According to a report from the New York Times, Rodgers is being considered as a potential running mate for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on an independent presidential ticket.
Kennedy has reportedly been in ongoing discussions with Rodgers for about a month, with the four-time MVP showing openness to the idea.
The New York Jets, Rodgers’ current NFL team, have refrained from commenting on his potential foray into politics, likely preferring to wait for official confirmation or statements.
In the meantime, Rodgers seems to be taking a vacation. Former All-Pro safety Jordan Poyer shared photos from Costa Rica on Instagram, where fans spotted Rodgers in one of the pictures.
While Rodgers hasn’t publicly addressed the speculation about his political involvement, he has previously expressed support for Kennedy’s views on “The Pat McAfee Show,” stating, “I believe in medical freedom, informed consent, and I’m voting for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.”
It remains to be seen whether Rodgers will address the rumors upon his return from Costa Rica.
