Donna Kelce recently shared insights into her family life during an interview with Martha Stewart on “The Martha Stewart Podcast.”
She opened up about her marriage with Ed Kelce, revealing that they chose not to divorce until after their sons, NFL stars Jason and Travis, had completed college. This decision was made from a commitment to co-parent effectively.
“It’s very difficult to raise children on your own,” Donna explained, highlighting the challenges of single parenting, especially given her sons’ active lifestyles. “So we decided that we would stay married throughout the entire time that the kids were in the house, and that’s the way it worked out,” she mentioned in the interview, as reported by People.

Donna and Ed, who raised their children in Cleveland before they attended the University of Cincinnati, managed their family dynamics with notable cooperation and mutual respect, even after their separation. Despite the end of their marriage, Donna expressed ongoing respect and friendship towards her ex-husband.
“I don’t hate him. We’re friends to this day. We get along great,” she shared, reflecting on their teamwork in parenting. “We were like a tag team with you two. We got to do all sorts of fun things. When one of you had to go out of town, the other person would help with the other child. It was perfect.”
Through their example, Donna and Ed have set a strong foundation of teamwork and mutual support for Jason and Travis, providing them with valuable lessons in parenting and relationships.
