Lisa Wilson is ready for the season!
On Thursday night, Zach Wilson took on the role of starting quarterback for the New York Jets in the annual Hall of Fame Game. Coincidentally, it is also his 24th birthday, prompting his mother, Lisa, to share a heartfelt message for her son.
She took to social media and uploaded a collection of photos showcasing their family celebrating Zach’s birthday a day in advance on Wednesday evening. The entire family is currently in Canton, Ohio, to support and witness Zach’s performance in the Hall of Fame Game.
Lisa expressed her admiration for Zach’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering work ethic, expressing immense pride in being his mother. Of course Lisa already has run into some controversy. The mother of the Jets’ quarterback seemed displeased with a fan’s remarks.
While seated in the stands at Tom Benson Stadium in Canton, Ohio, Lisa appeared to look back at the spectator.
She posted a photo of the incident and captioned it, “That would be me politely letting the dude behind me know I didn’t appreciate his comments.”
Lisa is well-known for her bold social media posts defending her son and the Jets, but she did not disclose the specifics of the exchange. In a separate post, she shared her unpopular opinion that alcohol should not be sold at football games, stating, “It brings out the worst in everyone.”
Despite the Jets’ loss to the Browns by a score of 21-16 on Thursday, Wilson demonstrated potential in his return to the field following his benching last season during a period of struggle in his second year.
