It seems that some believe Zach Wilson shouldn’t take a break during the NFL season.
The New York Jets have achieved an unexpected 3-3 record, following a season start that held Super Bowl aspirations until Aaron Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury in the first offensive series of the regular season.

In the absence of Rodgers, the Jets have rallied around their young quarterback, Zach Wilson, and managed to maintain a .500 record. For many fans, this would be a reason for satisfaction, given the circumstances. Particularly after the team’s upset victory over the Eagles two weeks ago, Jets fans have plenty to cheer about.
However, not everyone shares this view. One radio host, Shaun Morash of WFAN, publicly criticized Wilson for taking a vacation during the Jets’ bye week.
Morash even went so far as to label Wilson a “disgrace” for spending his break in Utah with his girlfriend. When Tiki Barber mentioned that Wilson visited Utah to meet his girlfriend’s family, Morash wasn’t convinced that this was a valid excuse.
“He’s a professional athlete,” Morash argued. “The family could have come to New York and New Jersey.”
Morash also expressed concerns that Wilson’s performance might mirror his previous season when he struggled after the bye week.
“Out of 52 guys, he’s the quarterback – the leader – and he should have been at or near the facility all week last week,” Morash asserted.
It remains to be seen whether Wilson will revert to his past performance patterns as the Jets take on the Giants this week. Given the criticism he has faced throughout his NFL career, this latest round of disapproval may not come as a surprise.
