The New York Jets played in the NFL preseason this weekend, and fans couldn’t help but notice the similarity between Zach Wilson’s play-action pass and one of Aaron Rodgers’.
Wilson, who was recently demoted due to Rodgers joining the team in a trade, had a solid performance with 123 passing yards, completing 14 of his 20 throws for one touchdown and no interceptions in a 27-0 win against the Carolina Panthers.
The touchdown came from a clever play-action pass where Wilson faked a hand-off before finding Kenny Yeboah in the end zone.
Fans were excited about the play and a video comparing it to one of Rodgers’ plays from his time with the Green Bay Packers has been circulating.

Always cool to see stuff like this. Jets could be set at QB for the next decade if this all goes well.

It’s an encouraging sign for the young quarterback, and if things go well, the Jets could have a solid QB for the next decade.
Despite Wilson’s previous comments about making a veteran QB’s life difficult in practice, Rodgers confirmed that Wilson has not been a problem since joining the team.
However, Wilson seems determined to prove himself moving forward.
