Gionna Daddio, known by her WWE persona Liv Morgan, faced legal trouble after being apprehended for marijuana possession during a traffic stop in Florida on Thursday night.
Sumter County law enforcement pulled over Daddio for erratic driving near The Villages, northwest of Orlando, according to an arrest report from the Villages-News. Upon approaching Daddio’s jeep, the officer detected the scent of marijuana.

Subsequently, the officer discovered a small plastic bag containing marijuana and a vape pen with an oil-like substance, later confirmed to be marijuana upon testing. Daddio was swiftly booked into Sumter County jail but was released within three hours after posting a $3,000 bond.
According to jail records, she faces charges of marijuana possession (not exceeding 20 grams), a first-degree misdemeanor, and possession of a synthetic cannabinoid, a third-degree felony. These charges could result in up to one year in jail and a maximum fine of $1,000, as outlined by the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws.
WWE’s Substance and Drug Testing policy prohibits synthetic cannabinoids, compounding the legal implications for Daddio.
This incident occurred shortly after Daddio attended the premiere of “The Iron Claw,” featuring Zac Efron, at the DGA Theater Complex in Los Angeles on December 11. The 29-year-old, a former WWE Women’s champion and two-time WWE tag team champion, has been with WWE since 2014, making her main roster debut in 2017.
Having grappled with a shoulder injury for the past six months, there is no specified timeline for Daddio’s return, as reported by PW Insider in November. Her last appearance on “Monday Night Raw” was in July, where she suffered a loss in her tag team championship match.
