Travis Kelce’s friend and WWE superstar, Baron Corbin, has revealed what Taylor Swift is truly like behind the scenes.
Corbin and Swift first met at a Kansas City Chiefs game in December, after Corbin was invited by Kelce.
During the WWE Summerslam media day, Corbin shared his experience of meeting the 14-time Grammy winner. Despite his friendship with Kelce, Corbin didn’t ask if Swift would be attending the game, as he explained via Us Weekly. “He’s just a friend, so you don’t think, ‘Hey, is Taylor going to be there?’ You don’t want to ask or anything like that.”
With no expectations of encountering the pop star, Corbin was pleasantly surprised by Swift’s kindness. “She’s obviously one of the biggest stars on the planet, and when you meet her, you’re like, ‘Oh, she’s so nice, so down to earth,'” he said. “If you lived under a rock and had no idea who Taylor Swift was, you would just think she’s an awesome person.”
Corbin added that Swift was incredibly welcoming and warm. “The moment she meets you, she gives you a hug,” he noted. Swift’s presence at the game was relaxed, as she was there “to have a good time and have a drink” and “can hang with the boys.” Corbin praised her humility, stating, “It’s rare to find someone at that level of stardom be so humble and cool that you would never know.”
He continued, “Other than the fact that you’re like, ‘Oh, she obviously is important, does something,’ if you had no idea, but you’re like, ‘She’s so nice.'”
In June, Travis Kelce himself spoke about Swift’s interactions with his family and friends on an episode of the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast.
He highlighted her self-awareness and genuine nature, which made a significant impression on him. “She understands situations like that. I think that’s why I started to really fall for her, was how genuine she is around friends, family,” Kelce shared. “It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention, and she just keeps it so chill and so cool. And that’s what I can admire for sure.”
