Two members of the 2024 WNBA rookie class, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, have emerged as some of the most controversial figures in the history of women’s basketball.
Both players boast substantial fan followings but also face significant backlash.
A recent study by BetOnline.ag, which monitored negative social media interactions aimed at WNBA players, sought to identify the league’s most disliked player. The results were quite definitive.
Angel Reese, the rookie forward for the Chicago Sky, topped the list as the WNBA’s most hated player, receiving nearly double the amount of negative messages compared to the next player on the list—her teammate, Sky guard Chennedy Carter.
Caitlin Clark also appeared on this list, coming in just a notch below Carter.
