Los Angeles Sparks star Cameron Brink was completely taken by surprise when her boyfriend, Ben Felter, popped the question during their trip to Paris for fashion week. Brink shared the joyous moment on Instagram with a heartfelt caption, “Yes in every lifetime ???,” alongside a series of stunning photos of Felter’s romantic proposal in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower.
The proposal took place at the luxurious Shangri-La Paris Hotel, following Brink’s attendance at the Balenciaga fashion show. What made the moment even more magical was that Brink had no idea Felter was in Paris—he had told her he needed to stay on the West Coast for work.
Felter, who is currently in his fifth year as a graduate student in Stanford’s computer science program, planned the surprise from afar, making the special occasion even more meaningful.
The couple has been together for nearly four years, having first met at Stanford University, where Felter was a rower and Brink was a standout on the basketball team.
They officially started dating on March 10, 2021, and while they’ve kept much of their relationship private, they’ve shared glimpses of their love on social media. To celebrate their third anniversary last March, both posted sweet tributes to each other. Felter wrote, “Three years together, a day to celebrate the soul that makes me whole ??,” while Brink shared a photo of them with the caption, “3 years with you. Plus qu’hier, moins que demain.” (More than yesterday, less than tomorrow.)

Brink, a rising star in the WNBA, was drafted as the second overall pick by the Los Angeles Sparks after graduating in 2024. She made her professional debut shortly after, showcasing her talent on the court before an unfortunate ACL injury in June cut her rookie season short.
Felter, who excelled as a two-time IRCA scholar-athlete while at Stanford, has balanced his passion for rowing with a strong academic career.
In 2022, he began working as a part-time portfolio analyst for the Defense Innovation Unit. Despite their busy schedules, the couple makes time for their shared love of outdoor activities. Whether it’s enjoying beach days, hiking, or surfing—an activity Felter taught Brink—they love staying active together.
Beyond sports and adventure, the couple has also bonded over their shared interest in art. In an interview with PEOPLE in June 2024, Brink revealed that Felter has introduced her to the world of art, turning her into “a huge art lover.” She added, “I love pottery and watercolor, even though I’m terrible at it. It’s really lovely to just sit down and work your brain in a different way for a little bit.”
Now engaged, the couple is ready to embark on the next chapter of their lives together. Their love story, filled with athletic achievements, shared passions, and a surprise proposal in Paris, continues to inspire their fans.
