The wife of veteran NFL wide receiver Randall Cobb revealed some scary news on Instagram.
Cobb and his family will need to find a new home after a fire destroyed his current residence.
According to an Instagram post by his wife, Aiyda, a faulty Tesla charger caused the fire.
“We are lucky to be alive. The Tesla charger caught on fire in the garage late last night and quickly spread,” Aiyda wrote in her story. “We got out of the house with nothing but the clothes on our back and no shoes on our feet. I’ll explain more later but posting this in case I miss any appointments, calls, texts, meetings. Thank you GOD.”
The post did not specify how many family members were home at the time.
Cobb and his wife have three children, including a newborn, Chance Atlas, whom they welcomed in March.

Last season, Cobb had a challenging year with the Jets, playing in eleven games and recording just five receptions for 39 yards and one touchdown.
He was brought on to the team following the Jets trade for quarterback Aaron Rodgers as Cobb and Rodgers enjoyed some very productive seasons while with the Green Bay Packers from 2011 to 2018.
However, things did not go as planned for the Jets to say the least as Rodgers of course suffered his season-ending Achilles’ injury just minutes into the 2024 NFL season.
At 33 years old, Cobb is nearing the end of his playing career and is currently a free agent.
