Speculation is swirling on Twitter as users attempt to identify the woman featured in Shannon Sharpe’s viral Instagram Live video that has garnered attention for all the wrong reasons. Popular sports analyst and former NFL star Shannon Sharpe, affectionately known by his fans as ‘Unc,’ found himself at the center of controversy after the video showed him in an intimate moment with a woman named Michele.
The video, which was accidentally broadcast on Sharpe’s Instagram Live earlier in the week, quickly spread online, leaving fans and viewers questioning the identity of the woman involved.
Sharpe initially attempted to downplay the situation by claiming his Instagram account had been hacked, posting, “Beware my @shannonsharpe84 Instagram was hacked this morning, my team and I are working vigorously to figure this out,” on his Instagram Stories.

However, he later deleted the post.
In a follow-up video, Sharpe apologized for the incident, acknowledging the mistake and expressing disappointment in himself. “I’m very disappointed in myself, and I let a lot of people down,” Sharpe admitted. He also revealed that he had reached out to ESPN’s top executives to explain the situation.
As the incident spread across social media, particularly Twitter, fans began searching for more details about the woman in the video. Several users speculated that Michele Evans or an Instagram model named Chelly could be involved. Some pointed to Sharpe’s history with women named Michelle, leading to even more rumors about the woman’s identity.
One Twitter user, referencing their investigation, wrote, “I put on my black woman detective First 48 hat and found the ‘Michelle’ that Shannon Sharpe was on live with ???. It only took me 5 minutes! Introducing Chelly, straight from Shannon Sharpe’s 431 follows ??????.” The user speculated that the woman in question was Chelly, an Instagram follower of Sharpe, but this theory was quickly debunked when Chelly publicly denied the allegations, clarifying that her name was actually Nichelle and that no one calls her “Michelle.”
Former ESPN host Michelle Beadle, who has been linked to Sharpe in the past, also stepped in to address the rumors. Beadle humorously tweeted, “It was not me. ?” to distance herself from the incident.
While many names have been tossed around, some have questioned whether Michele Evans, formerly Michele Bundy, could be involved. Evans has a contentious history with Sharpe, dating back to 2010 when she sought a restraining order against him.
At the time, Evans accused Sharpe of sexual assault and threats against her life. Although the restraining order was eventually dismissed, Evans claimed she withdrew it out of fear.
Evans has since taken legal action against Sharpe, filing a defamation, libel, slander, and emotional distress lawsuit against the former NFL tight end. In her lawsuit, she alleges that Sharpe used his public platforms, including Undisputed and his YouTube show Nightcap, to spread misinformation and damage her reputation. Evans claims that Sharpe sexually assaulted her during their relationship and threatened her when she discovered his infidelity.
“He knows a lot of people,” Evans stated in the lawsuit. “I became extremely frightened. He kept calling me while I was at work. I finally had enough and went and obtained a protective order from a judge in a court of law. I dropped the protective order after Shannon doxed me.”
Evans also accused Michelle Beisner, another former partner of Sharpe, of harassing her on his behalf. Evans asserts that her lawsuit is not just about seeking justice for her personal grievances but also about holding public figures accountable for using their platforms to harm others. “No one should suffer in silence while their character and integrity are being publicly maligned,” Evans said in her statement.
In a recent development, Evans filed a motion to amend her complaint against Sharpe, citing new evidence that she claims further supports her case. According to a press release, this evidence includes statements made by Sharpe on Undisputed and Nightcap, where Evans alleges he continued to defame her.
Michele Evans, who now goes by her maiden name Bundy, is a media professional with a background in film and software engineering. She worked alongside Sharpe in the media space during their relationship and has authored several books, including a novel she is currently promoting.
As of now, the mystery surrounding the woman in Shannon Sharpe’s viral video continues, but the speculation has cast a renewed spotlight on the former NFL star’s personal life.
Sharpe, for his part, has yet to make any further public statements on the matter, leaving fans and followers to speculate about the fallout from the viral video.
