Olivia Culpo has shared her perspective on supporting her fiancé, Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers, after their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl last month.
Despite it being McCaffrey’s first appearance in the NFL’s biggest game, Culpo, who has been in a relationship with him since 2019 and got engaged last April, offered him unwavering support. She was present in the Allegiant Stadium crowd for the Super Bowl and found solace in the company of other 49ers WAGs like Kristin Juszczyk and Claire Kittle, the wives of McCaffrey’s teammates Kyle Juszczyk and George Kittle, respectively.
Expressing camaraderie with her fellow WAGs, Culpo highlighted how they shared similar experiences throughout the football season. She described Juszczyk and Kittle as her lifelines, indicating the support they provide during challenging times.

‘I feel like we have a lot in common,’ Culpo said about her fellow WAGs, per PEOPLE. ‘We share the same experiences every week during the season.’
‘Claire and Kristin are my lifelines a lot of the time,’ Culpo said.
Following the loss, Culpo conveyed her pride in McCaffrey and the dedication he exhibited to reach the pinnacle of his sport. She emphasized the significance of acknowledging the journey that led to the Super Bowl appearance, despite the disappointment of the outcome. Culpo underscored the emotional rollercoaster that comes with such high-stakes competitions, eventually finding solace in gratitude for the opportunity and optimism for the future.
‘There was so much. There’s so much that leads to that moment and you have to be proud of the work that got you to where you ended up,’ Culpo said via PEOPLE.
‘At the same time, the flip side is if you lose, it’s really devastating and it takes a while for that to really settle in,’ Culpo continued. ‘I think as time passes, you just become grateful for the opportunity of having made it as far as you did and hopeful for the future.’
For Culpo, the scrutiny surrounding her relationship with McCaffrey, particularly during the Super Bowl, posed a new challenge in staying grounded amidst the noise and distractions. She acknowledged the difficulty of navigating public scrutiny and learning to filter out external opinions and pressures.
Although Culpo and McCaffrey’s wedding plans remain private, Culpo recognizes that her relationship with one of the NFL’s top running backs ensures her continued presence in the spotlight.
