Be careful what you say, Stephen A. Smith.
In the midst of a passionate rant on ESPN’s First Take, Stephen A. Smith referred to Nikola Jokic as a “big tub of lard.”
Smith was debating with Monica McNutt and Brian Windhorst on whether Jokic is the toughest player to guard in the NBA. Smith chose Steph Curry has toughest to guard.
We understand Stephen A Smith thrives on attention but calling Nikola Jokic, one of the best conditioned athletes a “big tub of lard” every other day on national television is getting tiresome.

Here’s what Stephen A. had to say when debating Brian Windhorst:
“I love this guy, I really do. Love him on First Take, love him as a colleague.
“But come on, man. I understand that this big tub of lard [Jokic] that can’t jump onto a curb is unstoppable.”
Smith won’t need to make a public apology for this insult. However, it’s not the first time he’s been in hot water for something he said.
Of course, we all remember when he stated that Shohei Ohtani couldn’t be the face of baseball because he uses an interpreter.
