In 2020, Tim Tebow got married and, presumably, ended his commitment to abstinence.
However, long before his marriage, Tebow’s personal choice to refrain from sex until marriage became a national talking point.
Some individuals mocked him for his decision, and even one teammate openly taunted him when the news became public.
The upcoming Netflix docuseries titled “Untold: Swamp Kings” focuses on the Florida Gators team from the late-2000s and is set to be released on August 23.
In this documentary, former star linebacker Brandon Spikes revealed that he wanted to test Tebow’s virginity claims.
Spikes admitted his intention to show Tebow explicit photos of naked women on his phone to gauge his reaction.
“I just wanted to see if he was real,” Spikes said via the New York Post. “So I would like, you know, maybe have a picture, a nude picture on my phone or something and show it to him just to see how he would react.
“He was like, ‘Come on man! Like, you really get a man uncomfortable!’” Spikes said, “And I was like, ‘Oh, he’s serious.’”
According to Spikes, Tebow responded with discomfort and seriousness, convincing him that the virginity claims were genuine.
Tebow, a devout Christian, got engaged to Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters in 2019 and they tied the knot a year later.
