It seems like every time a quarterback goes down, the name of Tom Brady quickly becomes associated with that team.
Following Kirk Cousins’ season-ending injury, there have been speculations connecting the Minnesota Vikings to the retired quarterback, Tom Brady.
Brady, who hung up his cleats after the 2022 season, would undoubtedly represent an upgrade over any of the Vikings’ current quarterback options. With a 4-4 record on the season, Minnesota probably doesn’t want to give up on the rest of the year.
On Sunday, Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk suggested that the Vikings should consider pursuing Brady, who is delaying his entry into FOX’s broadcasting booth until 2024.

However, it appears that the Vikings aren’t actively pursuing this option. At least, not at the moment, they don’t seem to be interested in bringing in an external quarterback.
“The Minnesota Vikings have been working through different scenarios all day for life post-Kirk Cousins this season. I’m told there has not been any significant conversations about a possible trade for a QB on another team. They continue to discuss different scenarios,” reported Dianna Russini.
While the idea of Brady coming out of retirement to play for the Minnesota Vikings might seem like a long shot, it’s understandable why fans would consider the possibility.
For the time being, it appears that the Vikings are leaning toward sticking with an internal solution at quarterback. However, if Tom Brady were to express genuine interest, it would undoubtedly give them pause and be worth considering.
