The indications were unmistakably present.
In a video recorded nearly seven years ago, Travis Kelce engaged in a game of ‘Kiss, Marry, Kill,’ with Taylor Swift as one of the options.
During the promotion of his E! Network reality show, “Catching Kelce,” back in 2016, the Kansas City Chiefs football sensation participated in a lively interview with Afterbuzz TV. In this interview, he was presented with the challenge of choosing between Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, and Swift in the game of “Kiss, Marry, Kill.”
“Damn, that’s messed up,” Kelce said after hearing his options. “I don’t want to kill any of them. Ariana, unfortunately. Love you, but you’re gone.”
Kelce then stated, “I’d give Taylor Swift the kiss.”
The Kansas City Chiefs standout selected Katy Perry as his choice for marriage.
Although Swift technically came in second to Perry in the 2016 game, Kelce’s response would probably differ if asked today. Recent reports have emerged indicating that he has been spending time with the singer following his attendance at her Eras Tour concert earlier this summer.

Swift graced Arrowhead Stadium with her presence on a Sunday, shortly after Kelce had revealed on The Pat McAfee Show podcast that he had extended an invitation to her. He playfully mentioned that he “passed the ball into her court” after watching her perform at Arrowhead Stadium during her Eras Tour in July, even offering her a friendship bracelet with his contact information.
As for whether Kelce’s 2016 choice to “marry” Perry might cause any tension between the potential couple, it seems unlikely. Swift and Perry initially had a feud when Perry was accused of trying to hire some of Swift’s dancers, which served as inspiration for Swift’s 2014 hit “Bad Blood.” However, they eventually reconciled their differences.
