Saquon Barkley is not letting this incident slide.
A video that quickly went viral on Sunday depicted Saquon Barkley engaging with fans at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. The New York Giants’ star has now explained his actions, stating that he had a valid reason for his reaction.
Barkley shared a brief 2-second clip on his X account, which captured him exchanging heated words with a fan. He clarified that he responded because he didn’t appreciate the way the fan reacted to Daniel Jones’ injury.

He stated, “Stop reaching and trying to make it a me vs fans thing I’m not gonna just sit there and not say anything while you talk crazy to 8 after he just got hurt… buddy knew he was in the wrong.”
During the Giants’ loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Daniel Jones sustained a neck injury after a significant hit, leading to his immediate removal from the game. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported on Monday that Jones suffered a neck contusion similar to one he endured in 2021, though it is considered less severe this time.
Given the circumstances, if a fan was indeed taunting or mocking Jones following the injury, Barkley’s decision to address it becomes more understandable. It’s also worth noting that Barkley himself is currently in the process of recovering from an ankle injury.
