Georgia Ball, a renowned professional golf instructor with a significant presence on social media, recently visited the driving range to fine-tune her swing amidst undergoing a swing change. However, her practice session took an unexpected turn when a man approached her, offering unsolicited advice on her swing.
Interrupting her practice, the man asserted, “What you’re doing there, you shouldn’t be doing that. You should be right through, swing and follow through.”
Despite her expertise, Ball remained composed and politely explained that she was in the midst of a swing adjustment and proceeding cautiously. Yet, the man persisted, insisting that she was moving too slowly based on his 20 years of golfing experience.

While the authenticity of the encounter may raise some skepticism typical of TikTok videos, the scenario depicted is entirely plausible. It’s not uncommon for amateur golfers to offer unwarranted swing advice, believing they possess superior knowledge.
In such situations, maintaining grace under pressure, as demonstrated by Ball, is commendable. Although one might have wished to witness her challenge the man to a friendly contest, her dignified response undoubtedly left a lasting impression.
