Similar to this year’s Auburn basketball team, Charles Barkley’s dance moves in March aren’t quite on point.
During Friday’s NCAA Tournament coverage, Barkley attempted to showcase his dance skills by doing the Griddy in front of Ernie Johnson, Clark Kellogg, and Kenny Smith.
However, Barkley’s Griddy attempt was met with laughter from the entire CBS panel due to his evident lack of rhythm.
Despite his comical performance, fans across the country couldn’t help but appreciate Barkley’s effort. One fan humorously compared his moves to the “vertical Charleston,” while another quipped about the “peak of sports broadcasting.”
Acknowledging his less-than-stellar dance skills, one fan joked, “He hits the Griddy like me.”

Unfortunately for Barkley, Friday turned out to be a forgettable day. Not only did he struggle with his dance moves, but his prediction for Auburn’s game also fell short.
Barkley had confidently predicted that Auburn would defeat Yale, jokingly stating, “We’re always going to beat the smart kids.” However, despite being favored, Auburn suffered a loss to Yale in a thrilling match, with the Tigers being outscored in the second half.
Nevertheless, Barkley’s prediction for the national championship game remains intact. He anticipates Arizona facing Oregon in the final showdown of the season.
