What does Wemby plan to do next?
After experiencing the intense media attention that comes with being an NBA superstar, Victor Wembanyama has expressed his desire for a break.
Following his second NBA Summer League game, the San Antonio Spurs’ top pick mentioned his intention to “disappear from the media” for the remainder of the offseason.
He may opt to take a vacation and enjoy some time away from the sport, as reported by Justin Russo.
“I have to talk with Pop, I’m gonna listen to what he’s gonna say, but I’m ready to make any sacrifice for the team and give 100%. Yeah, Im just gonna sit down with the Spurs to know what the next months are going to be like. When to go on vacation, when to start back working out, where to practice, am I going to practice in San Antonio? Ya know we got 2 or 3 great months that are coming and they are going to change my life, I’m probably going to disappear from the media”
Victor Wembanyama said that he’s probably going to “disappear from the media” for the next few months during the offseason in order to enjoy a vacation and life away from basketball before it kicks off again.

This decision comes after a well-publicized incident in Las Vegas, where Britney Spears accused Spurs head of security, Damian Smith, of slapping her when she attempted to approach Wembanyama.
However, the Las Vegas police have stated that no charges will be filed in relation to this incident.
Victor is ready to get to work.
“In the past month, I think basketball wasn’t even 50% of my schedule. I can’t stand it. I know it’s a special moment in my life, but I’m glad it’s over … I just wanna hoop,” Wembanyama said, per Tomer Azarly.
