Wemby is speaking out.
Victor Wembanyama, a rookie player for the San Antonio Spurs, claimed that Britney Spears grabbed him from behind as he entered a restaurant at a Las Vegas casino.
Wembanyama stated that he was only informed hours later that it was Spears who had grabbed him, as he never actually saw her.
Spears, who filed a report with Las Vegas police, denied grabbing Wembanyama and explained that she tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention.
She acknowledged recognizing him earlier in the evening and approached him to congratulate him on his success.

However, Spears stated that Wembanyama’s security forcefully pushed her away, causing her glasses to fall off her face.
Police confirmed that a report had been filed for an incident at the Aria Resort & Casino.
Wembanyama mentioned that his security advised him not to stop for anyone as he entered the restaurant, fearing a crowd and potential disturbance. He emphasized that he did not see what exactly happened as he continued walking, and only knew that his security pushed Spears away.
“Something did happen, a little bit, when I was walking with some security from the team to some restaurant,” Wembanyama said. “We were in the hall. There was a lot of people, so people were calling (at) me, obviously. There was one person who was calling me but we talked before with security.
“I couldn’t stop. That person was calling me, ‘Sir, sir,’ and that person grabbed me from behind,” Wembanyama said. “I didn’t see what happened because I was walking straight and didn’t stop. That person grabbed me from behind — not on my shoulder, she grabbed me from behind. I just know the security pushed her away. I don’t know with how much force but security pushed her away. I didn’t stop to look so I could walk in and enjoy a nice dinner.”

Spears posted on social media, recounting instances of being swarmed by fans but clarifying that her security did not harm anyone else. TMZ reported a similar version of events, indicating that Spears tapped Wembanyama on the shoulder and was struck in the face in response.
Only after returning to the hotel did Wembanyama discover it was Spears. He was not aware that the incident had become news until the following day.
“I saw the news obviously this morning. I woke up to a couple of phone calls,” Wembanyama said.
“I didn’t know for a couple hours, but when I came back to the hotel … I thought it was no big deal, and then security of the Spurs told me it was Britney Spears,” Wembanyama said. “At first, I was like, ‘You’re joking,’ but yeah, it turns out it was Britney Spears. I never saw her face. I just kept walking straight.”
Wembanyama is set to make his NBA Summer League debut for the Spurs against the Charlotte Hornets.
