D’Onta Foreman, a six-year NFL veteran, has built a solid career since being selected by the Houston Texans with the 89th overall pick in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
After two seasons in Houston, Foreman had stints with the Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, and Chicago Bears.
Foreman enjoyed a standout season with the Panthers in 2022, rushing for a career-high 914 yards and five touchdowns. His performance caught the attention of the Browns, who signed him to a one-year deal in March.
Reflecting on his decision to join Cleveland, Foreman told the Akron Beacon Journal in June, “Just the physicality and everything that they brought when we played against those guys last year, I just knew I’d fit in well. We couldn’t even run the ball. We couldn’t get a yard on those guys. It was crazy.”
Entering the 2023 season, Foreman had high hopes and aspirations, particularly aiming for a Super Bowl victory. “I’m at the back end of my career, so I just feel like winning the Super Bowl is everything on my mind right now,” Foreman said. “Anything I could do to help us win a Super Bowl and get to that point is what I’m trying to do. I really feel like we have a true contending team, a team that we really can get over the hump and go win a Super Bowl. Everybody’s hungry, and it’s not like that in every organization. I’ll say that.”
The Browns and their fans are undoubtedly hopeful for Foreman’s full and speedy recovery, so he can return to the field and contribute to the team’s Super Bowl ambitions. His determination and talent will be crucial as the Browns strive to achieve their goals this season.
