Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, have found themselves embroiled in a peculiar legal matter due to some unusual allegations.
The couple, who began dating around September 2023, have become quite popular, but recently encountered an unexpected complication.
Dr. Christine Sarteschi, a Full Professor of Social Work and Criminology, highlighted the odd situation by posting on social media about a bizarre legal claim made by an individual who alleges he is Swift’s lawful husband. She shared images of a legal document filed by this man.
“Very bizarre complaint in court records against Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce,” Sarteschi noted on X, describing the claimant as “very unwell.”
“Thank goodness she has strong security,” Sarteschi added, underscoring the seriousness of the situation given the nature of the allegations.

The complaint itself contains peculiar and troubling statements: “We are married with a Holy Covenant Marriage, we have been separated temporarily, and I need assistance getting back to my Spouse and family, My Spouse Taylor Alison Swift, I need, want, her, I am experiencing a lot of pain because we are not together,” it states.
“This is not a joke. This is serious. I need her for everything whether she knows it or not. I need a Guardianship and conservatorship over her immediately. Need my Spouse Taylor Alison Swift, not fulfilling of our Sacred Relationship by Travis Micheal Kelce….Immediate in defense kill orders for this individual of my Spouse and family.”
As of now, neither Swift nor Kelce have publicly commented on the matter.
This is not the first time Swift has dealt with fans making extreme claims about personal connections to her.
