As challenging as 2023 has been for the New England Patriots, one of their former stars, Chandler Jones, is experiencing an even more tumultuous time with yet another encounter with the police.
Jones, a first-round draft pick for the Patriots in 2012 and a Super Bowl champion with the team, began the season with the Las Vegas Raiders. However, he has faced a series of life events that have led him out of football, engaging in peculiar social media posts, and encountering law enforcement regularly.

According to TMZ, Jones recently had another incident with the police, this time in Arizona. He shared a video on his Instagram on Monday morning, depicting officers from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office arriving at a residence. In the footage, Jones is seen exchanging words with the officers, and one of them informs him, “Mr. Jones, we’ve got to talk about why we’re here now.”
Suddenly, the camera falls, and Jones can be heard screaming, “Wait! No!”
In the clip, officers attempt to explain that they’re “there to help” before the video abruptly ends. The timing of the footage and the nature of the officers’ visit to Jones remain unclear. Jones posted another video on Monday showing police questioning him about a fire he apparently had burning in his backyard.
Earlier in the fall, Jones was arrested twice in Las Vegas for violations of a domestic violence temporary protection order. In a previous incident this season, he posted social media threats against Raiders owner Mark Davis and then-coach Josh McDaniels. Additionally, he shared a video of himself crying while discussing the death of former Patriots’ teammate Aaron Hernandez.
