Miami Dolphins standout Tyreek Hill took to Snapchat to share a significant offseason update.
Hill posted a photo featuring himself alongside Odell Beckham Jr. on the popular social media app, captioned “OBJ to Miami confirmed.”
While there hasn’t been any official confirmation regarding the deal or its specifics, Beckham did visit the Dolphins in March. According to head coach Mike McDaniel, the team extended an offer to the three-time Pro Bowler.
“Things went great with him,” McDaniel stated, as reported by USA Today. “We did make him an offer, and negotiations take time, especially with players like Odell, who have had a stellar career and still have plenty of quality football ahead. I believe those discussions will continue. We’ll see where they lead.”
Should Beckham join the Dolphins, he would offer valuable support to Hill and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.
Last month, the Baltimore Ravens released Beckham after a single season with the team. If Hill’s revelation holds true, Beckham will transition from one top AFC team to another.
This potential move would mark Beckham’s fifth team, having previously played for the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, and Los Angeles Chargers before his stint with the Ravens last year.
In Baltimore, he contributed 35 receptions on 64 targets, amassing 565 yards, the second-highest on the team. Across 14 regular-season games, Beckham secured three touchdowns and recorded four receptions for 34 yards in two playoff appearances.
Despite being in the later stages of his career at 31 years old, Beckham still has the potential to bolster an offense. Following a season-ending ACL injury in 2022, he now has an additional year of recovery and play under his belt, potentially positioning him for a more significant impact in the upcoming 2024 season.
