After a disappointing performance in the AFC Wild Card Round against the Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill faced some tough feedback from Coach Mike McDaniel.
Hill shared on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast that McDaniel didn’t hold back, especially after a play where he was jammed by Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed.
Despite the criticism, Hill seemed to take it in his stride, recognizing it as an opportunity for improvement.
“He called me out, he’s like, ‘Reek, you’re supposed to be the best player in the league, and you got this guy putting hands all over you like that. We pay you all this money for what?'” Hill said around the 20:00 mark. “And for me, I love s–t like that, because I’m gonna take s–t like that to heart and I’m gonna get better from it. That’d never happen again to me in my life. If a m—-rf—-r can’t hold me accountable, I feel like I’m not gonna be able to get better.”
In chilly Kansas City weather, Hill managed to haul in five receptions for 62 yards, securing Miami’s sole touchdown of the game.

Despite his efforts, the Dolphins faced challenges in gaining momentum on the field.
Reflecting on his performance, Hill took to social media post-game to acknowledge that Sneed outperformed him on a specific play.
At 30 years old, Hill emphasized his desire to set a positive example for his teammates, expressing gratitude for having a coach who isn’t afraid to hold him accountable.
“If he’s not saying nothing, the other guys in the locker room are gonna look at it as, ‘Oh, if ‘Reek can do it, I can do it.’ And that’s not getting the team better,” he said. “I need everybody to get better.”
