When the Kansas City Chiefs traded Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins, Hill was already recognized as one of the NFL’s top wide receivers and a key player in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory and multiple Pro Bowl selections.
The trade, in hindsight, seems beneficial for both sides: the Chiefs have continued their success without Hill, and Hill has excelled individually with the Dolphins.
However, Hill expressed feeling undervalued by the Chiefs in one particular instance. During an episode of the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, Hill conveyed his displeasure with the Chiefs for assigning his former number, 10, to running back Isiah Pacheco following the trade.
“Kansas City’s got a real good running back. He’s a dawg. You can hear and see every step he takes he runs so hard,” Hill praised Pacheco. “But I did feel disrespected when they gave him 10. I didn’t like that. There’s only one 10 now. There should only be one 10 in your heart.”
This wasn’t Hill’s first moment of contention with his former team, as he previously engaged in some competitive banter before a game between the Chiefs and Dolphins in 2023.
“I hate to say it, man, I hate to throw up the peace sign against y’all, I hate to do it, but I’m gonna be y’all worst enemy that day,” Hill remarked about the matchup.
In that game, which took place in Germany, Hill made eight receptions for 62 yards, but the Chiefs secured the victory. That game was the first of two wins for Kansas City over Miami that season, with the second victory knocking the Dolphins out of the playoffs.
