Not everyone maintains unwavering faith in Dak Prescott, but Dallas Cowboys legend Troy Aikman stands firmly in support of the quarterback.
After a commendable regular season followed by playoff disappointment, doubts about Prescott’s future in Dallas have resurfaced, with even his own brother suggesting a potential relocation.
However, during a media event at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas on Tuesday, Aikman voiced his confidence in Prescott moving forward.
“Well, I do know that we all draw on our past experiences. When we don’t have great experiences, those then become hard to overcome,” Aikman remarked, as reported by Jon Machota of The Athletic. “I think that’s the challenge for Dak. Because the question for him and really for the team isn’t so much what happens in the regular season now. It’s how are they going to play and how is he going to play when you get into the postseason.
“That makes for a long year when that’s the way it works. I’ve been there as well, as far as when the expectations are that high. I still believe in Dak. I think until you do it, there’s always those criticisms.”

While Prescott has one year left on his current contract, early indications suggest the possibility of another extension.
In the 2023 season, the eight-year veteran showcased his skills by throwing for 4,516 yards, 36 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. Dallas secured the NFC East title but faced a 48-32 defeat to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round.
