Travis Kelce’s relationship with pop star Taylor Swift has garnered positive feedback from his Kansas City Chiefs coaching staff.
Matt Nagy, the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator, expressed his enthusiasm about Swift’s involvement with the team in an interview with KCTV5, shared on X (formerly known as Twitter). “It’s definitely rare, I mean, you’re talking about Taylor Swift and Kelce and Patrick [Mahomes],” Nagy said. Although he has not met Swift personally, he noted, “We love having her as part of the family, the team. What she and Kelce have done is a cool story.”
Nagy praised both Kelce and Swift for their humility and talent in their respective fields, saying, “I think it’s a credit to both of them to be two big powerful people that are also so humble in what they do and they’re so talented at what they do, whether it’s football or singing. We’re enjoying the journey, we’re proud to be a part of it and we want to keep it going.”

This sentiment was echoed by head coach Andy Reid ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl when he spoke to SiriusXM NFL Radio. Reid highlighted how well Swift and Kelce have managed their high-profile relationship amidst the football season. “It’s a tribute to how she’s handled it, how Kelce has handled it. It hasn’t been a distraction, so there haven’t been any problems with it,” Reid commented, adding, “She’s a good girl, she loves the game, and obviously loves Kelce. So I’m happy for both of them.”
Swift first made her appearance at a Chiefs game in September of the previous year, supporting Kelce during the home game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium. She was also present at the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers on February 11.
During the off-season, Swift and Kelce have been seen spending quality time together, including a vacation in the Bahamas and a visit to Coachella, where they were spotted dancing and sharing affectionate moments backstage.
