Travis Kelce’s inner circle has been thrust into the spotlight over the past year as the Kansas City Chiefs star tight end’s relationship with global pop icon Taylor Swift has captured public attention. While Kelce has always been a fan favorite on the field, his fame has reached new heights thanks to his connection with Swift, turning his personal life into a media spectacle.
The cameras now frequently pan to Kelce’s suite at Arrowhead Stadium, where Swift and her celebrity friends often watch the games, drawing endless focus from fans and media alike.
But how do Kelce’s close friends feel about this sudden surge of attention, and more specifically, about Swift herself?
Aric Jones, Kelce’s longtime best friend, opened up about the situation in a recent interview with Page Six. Jones and Kelce have been inseparable since their childhood in Cincinnati, Ohio, and have maintained their strong bond through Kelce’s rise to NFL stardom. Jones, who now runs his own lifestyle brand called Homebred Legends, shared his thoughts on the intense scrutiny surrounding their friend group since Kelce and Swift went public.
“I’m never going to downplay [the hype] or say [the new attention] isn’t the coolest thing in the world,” Jones admitted. “But at the same time, all we got to do is be us. The only thing that’s changed is that there’s a camera in the suite now.”

Despite the added pressure of constantly being in the public eye, Jones emphasized that their core group remains the same. For them, it’s all about staying grounded and enjoying the moment. And when it comes to Swift, Jones has nothing but praise for the pop superstar.
“Taylor’s great,” Jones said. “She’s her own woman. And like, if Taylor wants to participate with us on theme nights, of course, we welcome it.”
Jones also expressed his appreciation for Swift’s presence, saying, “But at the end of the day, just having her there and having her presence is awesome. She’s there to cheer on her boyfriend and hang out with us, and to be quite honest, that’s enough.”
While Swift’s presence may add a little extra buzz to the atmosphere, it’s clear that Kelce’s friends embrace the positive energy she brings. They appreciate her for who she is, rather than the added attention that follows.
Swift has missed the Chiefs’ last two games, but there’s growing speculation that she will be back in the stands for their upcoming Monday night matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET, and all eyes will once again be on Kelce’s suite, eagerly awaiting the next glimpse of Swift cheering for her superstar boyfriend.
