Travis Kelce seems to always have a Swiftie nearby these days!
During training camp on Friday, July 26, the Kansas City Chiefs player delighted a young Taylor Swift fan with a special gesture at Missouri Western State University.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Becky Hardin, the young fan’s aunt, Kelce approached a crowd of fans and threw his yellow football gloves, adorned with his jersey number 87, to a girl wearing a red Taylor Swift-inspired Chiefs T-shirt.
The shirt, reading “In My Red era,” was a nod to both Kelce and Swift, created and sold by Charlie Hustle Clothing Co. following the pair’s romance last year.
As the gloves sailed into her hands, the girl’s family erupted in cheers. A man in the crowd could be heard shouting, “Thank you, Travis!” as Kelce continued signing autographs. The young fan beamed with joy, proudly holding up Kelce’s glove and showcasing her special T-shirt.
The girl’s aunt shared her excitement on social media, captioning the moment, “Travis saw my niece, wearing a Taylor @Chiefs shirt, threw his glove, missed, pointed at her, and threw again. And I was completely unhinged and lost my mind.” She added her gratitude to Kelce, saying, “You made training camp so fun #ChiefsKingdom.”
Hardin also revealed the plans to see Taylor Swift in Indianapolis in November, ensuring her niece would wear the glove for the occasion. “We are beaming, it truly is so special to her,” she shared, along with photos of the young fan smiling with her eyes closed, holding Kelce’s glove, and posing with family members at the training camp.
Kelce’s presence at training camp follows a summer of attending multiple shows of Swift’s Eras Tour across Europe. A source recently revealed that Kelce’s “last few concerts were bittersweet” as he spent time with Swift during her tourstop in Germany.
“They knew their time together like this was coming to an end, and he made sure to spend every minute he could with Taylor,” the insider shared. “It’s definitely tough to be apart, but they do everything they can to make it work and show up for each other. They’re so in love and very, very happy together. All their friends and family can see it.”
The source added that despite his deep affection for Swift, Kelce remains committed to his team and the Chiefs. “His team and the Chiefs remain a top priority,” they noted.
